The Seattle Seahawks will win Super Bowl 60 because they are built for playoff football. It starts with defense. Seattle’s defense is physical, fast, and disciplined. They don’t give up big plays, and they force teams to earn every yard. In the playoffs, that matters more than flashy offense. Most Super Bowl winners rank near the top of the league in defense, not just scoring. Seattle finished the season Top 5 in points allowed per game (18.4) — that means only a few teams gave up fewer points. Teams that hit the playoffs with Top 5 defenses have a much better chance to win the Super Bowl than teams with weak defenses. (Stats from Pro Football Reference) Seattle ranked Top 8 in turnover margin (+6) meaning they forced more takeaways than giveaways. Teams with positive turnover margins in the playoffs almost always go deep, because turnovers flip field position and momentum. (Team turnover stats from NFL.com) Seattle finished the regular season with a winning record (12–5), which shows they didn’t just get lucky once or twice but instead they won consistently. Most Super Bowl winners have at least 10 wins in the regular season. In the playoffs, Seattle’s defense held its last two opponents below their season scoring averages, while the offense protected the ball and controlled the clock. That’s exactly the kind of performance that wins big games.

I don’t think the Seattle Seahawks are going to win Super Bowl 60, even though they’re a good team. Defense helps, but in today’s NFL you usually need an elite offense to actually win it all. If you look at recent Super Bowl winners, most of them ranked top-10 in scoring offense, not just defense, and Seattle’s offense sits closer to the middle of the league. They don’t have a quarterback or offense that scares teams the way true contenders do. On top of that, turnover luck doesn’t last forever. Turnover margin swings year to year, and one bad interception or fumble in the playoffs can end a season instantly. Seattle also plays a lot of close games, and that’s dangerous in the Super Bowl where one drive can decide everything.
